We were actually childhood sweethearts and after some years apart we found each other again; and as they say... the rest is history! Due to my husband being in the British Forces, we currently live down in South West England; but we will be moving back to Lincolnshire soon, which is where we have been posted to.
I am a huge cat lover and we have had our own cat, Alfie, for 3 years. I fear we have completely ruined him by giving him an addiction to Dreamies and he is so spoilt that I genuinely think he rules the roost. (He does!)

You can usually find me curled up on the sofa with a couple of books on the go, probably with some chocolate by my side. As a couple, we love the outdoors, and can think of nothing better than exploring the countryside, both with binoculars at the ready and a camera in my hand.

We both really enjoy our food and I love to try my hand at baking, whereas Chris will try out new recipes at the weekends. When we can afford it we like to treat ourselves to a really nice meal at well known chef's restaurants (with their prices, maybe twice a year!). Otherwise, you'll find us chowing down on some fish & chips or having a cheeky Nandos.

What else can I tell you about me? I am an avid list writer, an addicted on-line shopper and a huge lover of tea. I love holidaying in Great Britain, I regularly re-watch Harry Potter films and love singing loudly (and badly) around the house and in the shower. My favourite season is Autumn, I have our radio preset to Smooth FM, and much to my Scrooge-like husband's disdain, I adore Christmas.

I created this blog towards the end of 2013, where I planned to focus my blog on lifestyle and beauty posts. I then took a bit of a hiatus whilst Chris was away for 6 months on tour. Fast forward to November 2014, when Chris had returned and we had been posted to Cornwall.
A few weeks later our dreams came true and we found out we were expecting our first baby together. I then found myself wanting to record the highs and lows of my pregnancy through Lucy Skerritt Loves as an on-line diary that I could look back on and share with friends, family and anyone else who cared enough to read it.

So, since then, Lucy Skerritt Loves has now predominantly become a pregnancy, parenting and lifestyle blog where I have shared my journey as a pregnant mum, and will go on to share this journey through parenthood and all the adventures that come with it! I will still throw in reviews, hauls and general life occurrences where I see fit.
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my blog! I read lots of different blogs on a daily basis and am aware of the vast amount of them out there that are all vying for attention. It means so much to me that you've managed to find my blog and stick around to get to know me and my growing family.
